For those of you who know me personally or have been following me for a while, you know that I was born and raised in good ol' Northeast Ohio. I've been traveling back there fairly regularly this summer for weddings, and when Abbey heard I was coming in May, she sent me the sweetest e-mail ever. Her and Noah have been together for like 6 years. They are technically highschool sweethearts, but that term honestly does not serve them justice. They are freaking soulmates. Abbey and Noah are two distinctly different people, but they work together as one super adorable and strong unit, and I am so excited for their future together. Also- can we talk about how amazing their outfits are?! These two don't even try, they just are the coolest.
Oh, and they aren't engaged yet! So, if you are waiting for a ring to treat you and your significant other to photos together, DONT! Each season in your life is so important, and so worth documenting.
This session was about 45 minutes long. We just walked and talked and swatted away mosquitoes at Towner's Woods, and then drove to a little field down the road. I had such a fun time with these two, and I hope you enjoy looking at their cuteness.
Sarah and Dusty are exactly the kind of humans I love working with. They are spontaneous, playful, insanely passionate, and also super hot for each other. They traveled to me from Portland to do their engagement session at Smith Rock and I was so excited. This beautiful playground is 45 minutes from my house! We soaked up all the golden hour goodness and I can't even explain how excited I am for their wedding next month.
The first email I ever got from Kari, was a month before their wedding. Kari was waiting and waiting for her dream photographer, and lucky for me she saw my work from her florist, Summer Robbins, (who is the best damn florist in the world) and found that my work resonated with her. Kari and Billy are everything I love in a couple. Laid-back, giggly, so in love, and just desperate to marry each other. They had their ceremony and reception at Five Pine Lodge, a venue that I can't say good enough things about. Their staff is so organized and professional, and are sure to make sure your day run smoothly. This wedding was also my first official "intimate" wedding, and it was everything I dreamed. They had about 30 guests, practically all of them were family, and they just totally got to enjoy each other and their day without getting overwhelmed with a bunch of nitty gritty details and to-do lists.
Kari and Billy, I absolutely love you guys. And I can't wait to catch a Timbers game with you two.
Welp, it's official. I am now a full-time business owner! I just left my job at the world's greatest bank, which is so bitter-sweet. But I realized that if I don't dedicate 100% of myself now, I probably never will.
So, this means I have an overwhelming amount of blogging to start doing, and I figured I'd start with one of my favorites. This February Oregon Coast engagement session features Alicia and Spencer, who were so adorable and in love you could hardly guess it was like 37 degrees out. And raining. And windy. Ah Oregon, you are beautiful even when you are acting ridiculous. These two danced, kissed, snuggled, and laughed in the ocean rain, and I am so thankful for couples like these. I rarely believe in rescheduling shoots, and these two are living proof that all you need is a good attitude, adventurous hearts, and a whole lot of crazy-love.
Enjoy looking through a peek of their final gallery. These will forever be some of my favorites.
Can we all take a moment to swoon over Alicia's ring? Gemstone brides forever have my heart.
Give me all the adventurous couples who are down for whatever weather comes their way. This session will forever have a place in my heart, and you're damn sure we went straight to a coffee shop after this to dry off and warm up.
